The nature, cost and size of spills has varied over the years. In general it appears that whilst the frequency of spills has reduced over time, the cost and size of spills has nevertheless increased.
The first chart below shows the number of incidents per year which involved the IOPC Funds and the second shows the number of incidents by type or cause. Further statistics will be added to this section in due course.
