The original text of the 1992 Fund Claims Manual was
adopted by the 1992 Fund Assembly in 1998 and has
since been revised by the Assembly on several occasions
which has gradually led to some minor inconsistencies
in terminology throughout the text. On the occasion of
the 2013 edition, the Secretariat carried out a review of
the language used in the Claims Manual to ensure that it
was consistent and that the terms employed remained in
common use. This harmonisation of the text took place
in English, French and Spanish and resulted in a number
of minor editorial amendments, none of which affect the
meaning or substance of the text.
